Riverhead Aquarium

Riverhead Aquarium

| On 01, Apr 2013

My daughter and I try to go somewhere different every week and this weekend, we decided to visit the Riverhead Aquarium. We always look forward to our weekend trips no matter where we go. This time we were even more excited because we had heard so much about the Riverhead Aquarium. We set aside the whole day for this trip. It wouldn’t take us very long to get there but we wanted to make sure that we had enough time to see all of the animals so we left fairly early in the morning. We managed to bag a couple of great Riverhead Aquarium Coupons online and off we went. She was chattering the whole way about what she wanted to see and the stuffed animals she would buy at the gift shop with her savings. Once we got to the Riverhead Aquarium, she started clapping her hands and squealing. I have to say, I was pretty excited as well.

I was glad that we had so much time to visit the Riverhead Aquarium because there were many different exhibits and animals to see. The exhibits were both in the facility and outside. We saw the indoor animals first. It was impossible for me to keep track of all of the creatures in there but there are a few that really caught our attention. We both really liked the jellyfish. They were really elegant and beautiful. We could see right through them. The manta rays were really neat and so were the sand sharks. These creatures were nothing short of amazing with the way that they swam through the water. While we were inside of the Riverhead Aquarium, we also visited the exhibits with the rainforest and the birds.

The animals were so bright and colorful. It took us a fairly long time to visit all of these exhibits so we had lunch before going to the outdoor exhibits. When we went outside of the Riverhead Aquarium, we saw the sea lions, the seals, and the shark reef plus a few others. It was a lot of fun out there and we were allowed to touch some of the animals. The Atlantis exhibit was really neat.

The Aquarium did a superb job on it. I realize that sometimes a specific facility is known for a special animal or exhibit. In fact, that could be said for many attractions. I would say that the reason why this place is so unique is the whole collection that they have and the work that has been done to make the experience so much fun.

The Riverhead Aquarium makes learning fun and in such a way that you may not even know that you are learning. Visiting the facilities is a great way to spend the day with family, friends, or otherwise. If you want to create memories that you will never forget, take a day and visit the Riverhead Aquarium. It will be the best decision that you could make in terms of entertainment and fun. You can see the animals, have a nice meal, buy a souvenir, and have a wonderful time.
